3D Virtual Tour

about this home's

Welcome to this sunny Craftsman Bungalow with oodles of original charm integrated with modern touches throughout. From the welcoming front porch to the built-in bbq in the level backyard, the stage is set for a peaceful home base where you can relax and enjoy all that Piedmont has to offer.

Enter to gleaming hardwood floors with Mahogany greek key inlay that flow throughout the foyer, living room, and dining room. Large windows in the living room overlook the lush front lawn and bright blooms in the window box nestled below. This area opens to a lovely dining room with plenty of space to host Thanksgiving this year if you are feeling ambitious!

Also on the main level is the primary bedroom boasting a separate space for your zoom-room or nursery.  A newly renovated ensuite bath with double vanity and a custom tiled shower over tub create a true retreat.

The kitchen has been upgraded with sparkling quartz countertops, new fixtures and a lovely eat-in dining area with tree-top vistas above the backyard.

The light filled open staircase leads to the lower level where you will find the second bedroom and full bath along with a family room for casual entertaining.  A bonus surprise is the adjoining wet bar with space for a second refrigerator or full kitchenette.  Laundry room with side-by-side washer and dryer and access to the side-yard provides added convenience and flexibility.

The level backyard deck is centered around a built in gas-grill with granite countertop and stairs with cable railing.  Large enough to accommodate both a dining area and conversation lounge you’ll enjoy many pleasant California evenings relaxing with a cool drink and good friends.  Draped with twinkling bistro lights, the backyard is just the right size for gathering on the deck, kid-play on the lawn, or exercising your green thumb.

134 Sunnyside is just above the green-space and walkway of Linda-Beach Dog Park so you’ll enjoy the privacy that comes with having only ‘man’s best friend’ as your neighbor in the back.

Perfectly located on one of Piedmont’s friendliest streets, you’re just steps from Beach Elementary and the shops & restaurants of Piedmont and Grand Avenue!

Piedmont, a two-square-mile city within the borders of Oakland, was incorporated in 1907 and was known then as “The City of Millionaires” because there were more millionaires per square mile residing there than in any other U.S. city. Today, their large, estate-like homes are still standing in the heart of Piedmont, reminding residents of its glitzy past. Homes in Piedmont range from those estate-like homes in central Piedmont with expansive grounds to more modest homes on the edges of town. Well-manicured landscapes prevail and the city’s stringent permitting guidelines ensure all of the homes maintain their original flavor. The commercial area of town is small, featuring several banks and one gas station. Mulberry’s Market, a specialty food store with ready-made meals, caters to gourmet taste buds and is the frequent morning coffee stop for parents and after-school hot spot for kids. Piedmont’s proximity to Oakland’s many big-city amenities ensures Piedmonters will not miss out on the latest restaurants or first-run movies. The sense of community is strong, as witnessed by the large turnout for the annual Fourth of July parade that happens each year down Highland Avenue. The Piedmont Recreation Center offers a central gathering place for residents. Available for rental, it is the frequent setting for community events and parties. The beautiful grounds provide a wonderful place to hang out and play, and the wooded trail connecting the Center to the high school is the best place to take your dog to play. A casual carpool zone on Oakland Avenue, along with proximity to Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) and Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District buses, offer workers convenient commute options. Pride in community involvement and village living are just a few of the reasons people love to live in Piedmont.
